Why won’t you just die? Tragedy: Volume 6

Sep 24 – I smelled another game day coming up! That and breakfast as well. Another good morning and another day of school ahead of me but thank God that it was Friday. I still remembered how last night we practiced for two hours on passing and scoring techniques. The question was if it would actually be implemented and work effectively against Sunnyside, the team from Cow-Land who made us sleep in their gym on hard mats. Well, first we had to get through school and survive with some mental capability in order to play the game effectively. The teachers, on the other hand, wanted all the mental capability for themselves and their own schemeful purposes. Well, they wanted my brains at least because at the end of the school day, I had quite a horrendous headache. There was one absolutely good thing about the school day today, though…no Junior Highers!! They were all gone on something called a “retreat” where they are put in the middle of a forest and have to survive the wrath of nature. The only difference between this retreat and the highschool one is that at this one, you only had to survive a couple of hours with a smaller amount of people. Less time and fewer people equals fewer smells like B.O. and farting which makes it harder for the wild animals to find you. So anyway, Sunnyside arrives and we warmup. Then the game starts and they score a couple of goals.

Coach got so mad on one of the goals being scored that he flipped over a chair…I bet I would have flipped that chair and thrown it harder than he did, though. Then he makes this funny statement that if our team ever scored a goal with a header, he would run across the field with his clothes off. Our team gets a corner kick and Will heads a goal in with his head. Um, Coach…as you were saying?

Then they score a couple more goals. Soon they have a five point lead over us and the game ends, 6 to 1. I was seriously about to run over one of those guys after the game for all the fouls and stuff they committed but decided to not do it. After all, it would be considered assault if it were outside of the game. More sweaty hand shakes occurred and then I went home after picking up some stuff off the field. At home, I refused to do any homework and instead caught up on my reading. Another soccer game was to be played tomorrow and I was not very enthusiastic about it as I headed off to sleep.
